Template:Infobox government An Commonocracy is one of several forms of government outside the traditional monarchy archetype. Unlike the other governments, which arose out of the chaos that ensured from the Curella plague, the commonocracy was created years before that by Letania. The political writings of Fiel Torman heavily influenced the formation and institution of the commonocracy shortly after the merging of Letania and Kestrinal.
Because Scurn was the first nation to move away from a monarchical system, they have been reviled by some. For example, Gruenormark imposed sanctions on them; they have a long-standing trade embargo in place with Scurn.
Compared to the real world, it is a sort of socialist republic. The country attends to the basic needs of its people -- food, healthcare, housing, and limited public education -- but the government does not own everything, which gives enterprising individuals a chance at a better future then the bare minimum.
