Many of the superstitions stem from some form of mythology, while others have their roots in other things, like cultural constructs or the remnants of an obsolete practice. This page is intended to be a collection of superstitions that can be found throughout the regions. Regional superstitions are also noted where applicable.
Bad Luck

- If you cut yourself while splitting wood, someone else must finish the piece you're on.
- If your horse throws a shoe, you will miss an important event.
- It is bad luck to drop a coin.
- It is bad luck to walk through a door sideways.
- If you fall off a horse in Gruenormark, you must apologize to the horse for being an unworthy rider.
Good Luck
- Anything related to the Sacred Number, 33, is considered good luck.
- A fly in soup is good luck in the Verges, but bad luck in Lothlan and Averia.
- It is a good omen when the moon obscures the constellation Sirnock.
- It is said to be good luck to find the leaf of a Belderwood tree where one is not nearby, and keeping it in your pocket will prolong one's life because the leaves don't change color.
- A solid copper necklace (not chain linked) is said to ward off evil spirits.
- A gold necklace cures a sore neck.
- If you catch a coin someone threw, more will soon follow.
- It is good luck in Shrane to acquire the weapon of someone you killed if the weapon is better quality than the one you used.
