Vir is a small island country in the Borlyphian Ocean in southwestern Lesser Galwyndor. Its isolation from the rest of the continent has caused Vir to become a forgotten relic, so much so that Galwyndorians are ignorant of the fact that the the Vurg are from Vir. Vir was at one time ruled by the ancient House Vilitago, another fact that is unknown to all but the Vurg, but it has long since replaced the monarchy with a system of Merited Geniocracy called the Meges-Gaman, or "class of gray".

People of Vir are referred to as the "Vurg".

Allies

Clavermark is the only ally; Emperor Vralius recognizes the potential of the Vurg race, after employing Sleika for his proficiency in the field of torture. Another Vurg ambassador serves in Andermark, however, the royal court there doesn't fully accept the Vurg as allies.

Geography

The smaller of the two main islands is called Lesser Vir, and is uninhabited by the natives, due to its lack of elevation. The greater island, where they maintain residence, is mountainous terrain, with several volcanoes (both active and inactive). The island was also once wealthy in byrridium deposits, which lasted them several millennia, and much of their advanced technology can be attributed to the richness of this substance. The island is also lush with vegetation and wildlife, much like the isolated Overvale.

In addition to this, the southern shores of the larger islands is ravaged by constant rain.
