Gruen was a city-state empire in the time of the Befores, which eventually became what is now known as Gruenormark (after having spent several hundred years as just Gruenor). After king Ealred 4 vig Brynsen's death at the hands of Draol vormonger invaders, the city-state was under their rule until Genther Stormloft would return to liberate the people and restore power.
