Galwyndor is the official name of the world predominantly in the Everwind Series of books. It is broken down into two main continents: Greater Galwyndor and Lesser Galwyndor. During the time of the Everwind books, the remaining population only exists on Lesser Galwyndor, as the larger continent is uninhabitable.
Lesser Galwyndor
Only the most educated are aware of the existence of Greater Galwyndor (the barren parts) that lie far across the seas. What remains, sometimes referred to as “the Realm”, is made up of 14 nation-states:
Since to the people of the world it is the only place, most people simply call it "the mainland" and refer to the islands by their actual names.
Greater Galwyndor
Below is a list of the countries that existed during the time of the Great Purge in Greater Galwyndor. Since the Purge, the larger continent became completely uninhabitable for all life. Several of the races died as a result, some were able to make an exodus. Even plantlife does not survive there. It is simply a bleak and desolate span of rock and earth.
