The Everwind is the local name of the perpetual wind gusts that are prevalent in the Verges region. It is what the Everwind Series is named after. Series writer Janden Hale claims the name came from his hometown of Casper, Wyoming, which is listed in the top five windiest spots in the United States. A common saying among the people of the Verges is "Everwind is ever wind."
