Arkaeni is the fourth subchapter by Janden Hale set in the universe of the Everwind Series.
Description
A group of last-year Arkaeni students make their sojourn to the Immortal City. After they disembark the ship and secure a coach in Imindel, the group is waylaid on the road and held for ransom, as Emilyn is known to them as the daughter of Wilton of Auvrey, the Daeken of Kericho. While captive, the group must use their knowledge and skills to survive.

- The students take passage aboard a merchant ship called Hayman's Daughter from Shundra to Imindel.
- Daron and the crew had previously ridden on a ship called the Redsquall Slut, where Daron sold the cook several items, including aradela and turalin, which are used by Sap in Grimhall (subchapter).
