Federation 42 is a covert vigilante organization who seek to restore justice against corruption. It is extremely secretive, going so far as to compartmentalize every aspect of its existence. It purportedly has several divisions, and utilizes unorthodox recruiting and training methods. Each member of the organization may come into contact with only a handful of colleagues, sometimes as little as one other - the Cinder. The organization also makes extensive use of code words and cryptography.
