Aery II was the first King of Aeryloth. He single-handedly ended the First Great War by slaying the warlock Gethalyn with his own sword; the instant the sword pierced the soil, an etherwood tree sprung forth (the legend of the Sword Tree of Gethalyn). The tree is a national treasure of Lothlan, and is a major symbol on the emblem of House Turcott.
