Master Ald is the sagely hermit that lives in the remote mountain haven of Overvale in the Atlicas. He is the oldest person in Overvale, and most of the citizens there are reluctant to interact with him because he is so secluded. He is called upon on occasion for his wisdom and advice. Ald spends most of his time hidden within his cavern hollow, where he writes and keeps his many thousands of books.
He first appears in Path of the Outrider.
