Sabir is a contact of Mr. Scott who is hired on occasion to help them find mercenary work. He walks with a limp, which is the result of being hobbled (they slit his hamstring tendons) by pirates so he wouldn't try to escape. He is said to have murdered his captors, and now he has a vendetta against highwaymen, which is why he does all he can to help Mr. Scott.
He first appears in Path of the Outrider in a pub in New Grolyn called Upper Cellar Alehouse. He introduces Mr. Scott to the caravaner Gilsig.
