Bor Lerich is a captain in the Clavic army, commander of 1st Battalion of 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Vralius. He is usually seen accomplanied by Commander Sleika the Vurg, and has been charged with investigating the incident at Wornspire and the disappearance of Serika.
What sets Lerich apart from other soldiers is that he wears the distinctive grey cloak of the Special Service Legion, also known as the "greybacks". It is not unheard of for SSL officers to be placed in command of conventional forces.

- He prefers to ride his haers over taking a Turf racer. He has a buckskin gelding named Ransom.
