Both he and his elder brother, Derrion, were groomed for military life, being that they could theoretically rise to prominence within Gruenish society through military service. Since only those of means, at that time, owned horses, they began military service as cavaliers. Genther Stormloft is the lead human legend unit of the Champion Craft. He is the commander of the Green Legion (the Champion Craft). He is important in the Dreadgate Game, as he was the leader of the allied force that cornered the Glyphmaster, a Draol mage named Atury, which caused him to create a Keldra Gateway that brought a large number of people to the world of Errod.
