They Meninar a mixed race of elves and humans who became extinct during the Great Purge because they had magic in their blood. They were descendents of the Veninar primarily, and later the Druinar, but ultimately there were Meninar from all of the elven nations. They dominated a region of Greater Galwyndor called Cauthria, which was a series of Southern islands called the Wyrmback Isles. It is said that the great warlock Gethalyn was of this race.
Skills
They were known predominantly for their seafaring, much like their rumored Veninor forebears. As consummate navigators, they were believed to have discovered many uninhabited islands and remote locations throughout the world. Many of the best maps of the ancient world were of Cauthrian make.
They were also recognized for skill of craftsmanship, especially engineering and weaponry. This is likely due to valuing curiosity, learning, and experimentation as a culture. These traits, combined with a love of travel, put them in a prime position to learn from a variety of cultures.
