Hindis Claverian was the brother of Olred Claverian and uncle to Vralius. He and his wife raised Vralius after the accidental death of his parents until Vralius left to enter military service. Shortly after the death of Olred and Korina Claverian, Hindis underhandedly convinced Vralius to sign over his inheritance, which was supposed to be temporary. The scam was the primary cause of their falling out and the catalyst for Vralius's desire to pursue his own path.
