Aery 2 was the first King of Aeryloth. He single-handedly ended the First Great War by slaying the warlock Gethalyn with his own sword (it was said that Gethalyn could not be slain by any blade, whether friend or foe); the instant the sword pierced the soil, an etherwood tree sprung forth (the legend of the Sword Tree of Gethalyn). The tree is a national treasure of Lothlan, and is a major symbol on the emblem of House Turcott.
