Groltein was a Lieutenant in the Averian army. He was the Commander of Atlica Company in Camp Nether during a freak Curella outbreak there. He bravely volunteered to confirm the outbreak as reported by Cavaneer Balt, knowing that in doing so he would be killed according to the Kandalus Protocol. He was posthumously awarded the Candera Cross, the highest military honor of Averia, by Queen Caliana for his actions.
