An energy gauntlet is an advanced portable assault weapon designed by Burling & Mason Technologies. The weapon was still in testing phases when the company ended, and only one prototype of a special VAPERlite gauntlet was made, which combined the energy gauntlet concept with the versatility of the VAPER.
The energy gauntlet is a special assault glove powered by standard protocells which is capable of emitting energy for use in force protection, crowd control, or administration of lethal force. Various types were designed: taser, sonic, electromagnetic, and incendiary. Only one type - the VAPERlite - was capable of more than one effect; like the VAPER predecessor, the VAPERlite gauntlet required PEC ammunition.
