The Ward is a gamepiece in Jeksey. The Ward piece was traditionally in the shape of a turtle, and is intended to represent heavily armored troops.

Raven - called the Litus - can move in any direction up to 3 squares
Horse - called the Caval - can move forward/backward up to 3 squares
Fish - called the Jack - can move in any direction up to 2 squares, can trade places with friendly pieces in range
Fox called the Sneak - can move diagonal up to 3 squares
Frog - called the Sling - jumps one square in any direction
