The Crimson are a massive gang of criminals who originated in the Verges; they are the largest gang in the world, with members in virtually every region. Their primary activities include theft, kidnapping, slavery, prostitution and trafficking humans, gambling, and drug trafficking. They are also known to be brutally violent to those they see as adversaries.

Their emblem is a maroon glyph and five-pointed star on a grey-white background. Their motto is "Fear the red." Members assume street nicknames, much like the Legion of Liberty.

History

The Crimson was founded in Everwind City in the year 11,246 by the Dakov family, who were mashy bootleggers. The original clan was made up of the family and a number of thugs used to guard operations and transport of contraband. As operations grew, they branched out into dealing illegal arms and other drugs. Interference from rival factions led to a number of violent incidents and territory disputes. The family's response was to use brutality and retaliation. They quickly developed a reputation for violence.

As they established control of the Verges, they started absorbing smaller allied factions to spread to neighboring regions. Their operations have since branched into all manner of illicit activity, to include human trafficking, slavery, kidnapping, ransom, robbery, and more. They are now the largest cartel in the world, headquartered in Halfshaer.
