Greater Galwyndor was the largest continent on the planet, along with a handful of other island continents, which existed until about 120 years after the Great Purge.
Extinction
The events of the 4th Great War wrought havoc upon most of the lands in Greater Galwyndor. After the Purge and the dust began to settle, the region slowly began to lose its potency; plantlife began to wither and die, along with the animals and ecosystems they supported. Within just 120 years, the area was incapable of sustaining any life whatsoever. During this time, some of the inhabitants managed to flee across the sea to Lesser Galwyndor, which didn't experience the same level of decay. The ones who did not make an exodus either did not know the lands were more fertile there, or they chose to stay behind. This process also eventually led to the abandonment of a number of ancient religions, such as Grellism, in favor of the newer appeal of the Tethuric Church, as it was believed that the old gods were dead.
