The '''Messenger''' is the key gamepiece in [[Jeksey]]. The Messenger can be any of the other Jeksey pieces, and before gameplay begins, each side chooses a piece to act secretly as the Messenger. If this piece makes it to the other starred side, it wins. If a Messenger gets captured, it loses.  
The '''Messenger''' is the key gamepiece in [[Jeksey]]. The Messenger piece was traditionally in the shape of a crown, even though it does not represent a king, only the king's message. In the real-word game that's available for purchase, the Messenger is represented by a disc-shaped gamepiece.
