In terms of magical energy, omnifex, or Soul Stray, is the most potent power source, because it is said to be the "soul of Grellis". It is a spiritual energy that permeates everything, the purest essence of Grellis, and is a combination of Bone Stray, Breath Stray, and Blood Stray, the three minor essences of Grellis. Of all the races, the Eldinar alone contain Soul Stray, while the other races save the Meninar contain only one of the other lesser essences, as they were made by the celestial gods. The Meninar, being half-breeds, also contain Soul Stray, but to a lesser degree than the Eldinar.

Weakening the Non-Inar Races

Initially, the non-Inar races (humans, dwarfs, giants, merfolk, attawa, and jrel) possessed a lesser amount of omnicrux than the Inar, being that they were not created by Grellis. When the gods Drend, Orend, and Helirend sought to banish the angel M'ranin and the Fouled Seven to the Shadow Lay, they needed a significant amount of omnicrux to trap them there. Rather than take omnicrux from celestials, they stole some from each of the non-Inar races, as they found they could not do so from the Inar. This weakened the other races, but unwittingly saved them in the aftermath of the Great Purge, as they had less omnicrux than the Inar and the Cauthrians, who went extinct.
