A dungcarl is a person who carts human waste out of some settlements to be dried in dungfields for use as fire kindling. These are typically only found in areas without adequate plumbing, such as Listhaven, and the work is hardly ever done for pay, but performed by prisoners as community service. Venicus Mor is a dungcarl.
