Catican is a common type of folk religion that utilizes limited employment of herbs and natural remedies, but also very basic elements of folk magic, such as through the use of candles, charms and spells, cartomancy and other fortune telling techniques. It differs from the similar system of Salarian, the most common spiritual system throughout the realm, in that it also includes some elements of polytheism.
