A darkangel is an angel that resides within the Shadow Lay. Most notable are M'ranin and the Fouled Seven, chief deities of the Emra Gohg blood cult. Darkangels cannot leave the Shadow Lay, even through summoning. For this reason, they created other creatures that were capable of leaving the Lay, such as demons.
