Helirend is the god of water and one of the original three gods created by the Creator Grellis, according to the ancient Creation Myth of the Befores. He is married to Toreliel.
Mythology
After turmoil took root amongst the gods, Helirend and his two brothers became jealous of the Eldinar Grellis had created, as well as the Palanem, which were made by the Eldinar. The brothers decided to each create a race of their own, and Helirend made the krakari. The other brother-gods made the trolls, ogres, and goblins. These initial attempts were considered substandard, so Helirend made the helimer to rule the seas where the Eldinar could not go.
