Halfshaer is the southernmost settlement in the The Verges, right at the foot of the Atlicas. Because it is so secluded, it is renowned for being a thieves den and hideout for slavers.
Tethuric Shrine
South of the settlement is the holy Shrine of Tesh by Saent Dothen, owned by the Tethuric Church; because Halfshaer is so dangerous, it is guarded by the Hand of the Gale.
