She escaped and made her way to [[Everwind City]] where she panhandled in [[The Rim]] and [[Half District]] until she had enough to buy a variety of wares, which she hawked on the streets. She did this until she could afford nice clothing and the rest is history.

Anika hails from Elward Island, Lothlan and was brought to the Verges in the year AV 10 by Crimson slavers.
