Plot summary

Brindle Bill Wecker must break his first mate, Kelly Casper, out of a Scurnish prison in Uthersvig before he gets executed under charges of piracy. It turns out to be an elaborate trap set by the Letanian Captain Doridian, who is instead trying to capture Wecker. The ruse works, and the comic ends with Wecker being taken into custody by Letanian sailors and placed in a cell next to Casper.
