Creed of the Cutthroat No. 239 is a comic-style book that appears in Path of the Outrider. It is issue number 239 of the series, which follows a Gruenor pirate antihero named Brindle Bill Wecker, who terrorizes the fleet of the Letanian navy. The comics were used as propaganda.
Notes
This particular issued is carried around by Shades, who likes it because it contains pictures, and since he can't read well. He never looks at it when strangers are around because he doesn't want it to be stolen.
Plot summary
Brindle Bill Wecker gets marooned on an island off the coast of Geldenmark because of a mutiny by his first mate, Kelly Casper, who turns out to be a prior Commodore of the Letanian fleet. Casper convinces the crew that Brindle Bill has arranged to make off with their shares of the next job, and recommends that in lieu of keelhauling, Wecker be left on the uninhabited islet.
