New Elid has thirty-six different military checkpoints throughout the city. Each checkpoint is located on an old monorail station. They are broken up into five zones:
- Zone 1 - 8 checkpoints, CP1A - CP1H
- Zone 2 - 8 checkpoints, CP2A - CP2H
- Zone 3 - 8 checkpoints, CP3A - CP3H
- Zone 4 - 7 checkpoints, CP4A - CP4G
- Zone 5 - 4 checkpoints, CP5A - CP5D
- Checkpoint 6 - a solitary, remote checkpoint in the northwest
