Luiscides is a constellation and one of twelve astrological signs in the Aprisic Astrology system. Astrologically it corresponds to the earthly sign of Aquarius, though only by date and not by characteristics.
Dates: Jan 20 – Feb 18 // Trunalus 14 – Kandalus 5
Constellation
The constellation Luiscides resembles a bear, and is made up of 10 stars, the smallest of which is Satavian. It is typically a dimmer star in the sky, but when it brightens (it is a variable star), this is said to be an omen that something dormant will awaken and cause problems (hibernation, awakened wrath).
Astrological Characteristics
Luiscides is represented by the bear. For centuries, the bear has been a symbol of power, strength, stubbornness, and courage. They are best left alone, abrasive to all but those who are closest. But if you can befriend one, they will defend you to the death. They often like to stay in one place, and like the bear, they can seem to hibernate when the weather of life turns cold. They are also prone to anger and will make their wrath known to everyone within earshot.
