A terotaur is a large flying reptile-like bird, similar to a pterosaur. They are predominantly scavengers, with an average wing span of 10-14 feet from tip to tip. They are very common in the Verges, in fact, the emblem of the House Claverian features one. The Victurus Terrors overball team is also named after them. They are sometimes referred to as "snake-chickens" by locals. Only the young have feathers.
The eggs are large, and are the main course in Terotaur Eggs, which is meal 11 for CLMIL Rations.
