Soothesage is a type of sage that grows mostly in Verges and other arid climates. It is actually named after the Soothe Spider, which often takes up residence within the bush's branches, stringing its webbing throughout. While these spiders are not themselves poisonous, the silk it produces contains a toxin that induces paralysis to creatures caught there. Not fatal to humans and larger animals, but it still has a mild numbing effect that is said to be soothing.
