Throck is the Ildorian god of ice, one of two primary deities in Ildorian culture. He represents the cold, metal, stone, ice, and death -- all things hard. He is married to the goddess of the hearth, Thirva. The two are said to be constantly at odds with each other, yet they are always in many ways necessary for each other. For example, a sword, which is hard and made from iron or steel, must be forged in fire. Fire is a feminine energy that strengthens the masculine.
The Ildorians do not necessarily worship their deities, but more so their culture is "aware" of them, and they try to act in various ways to please them.
Superstitions and Concessions
- They eat their food quickly before it grows cold. If it grows cold, Throck is said to be tasting it for himself.
- The men shave their faces and heads to show Throck that they are strong in his eyes.
