Ancient mythology holds that the winged horse Thurreliot was created by [[Skulf]], the god of chaos, as a way to ruin a bet between [[Drend]] and [[Orend]] (gods of earth and air) as to who had the most majestic creature. As a result of this, Drend and Orend came together to create dragons as a way to spurn Skulf. Thurreliot was later killed by two of these winged lizards to teach Skulf a lesson.

Thurreliot is the named of the winged horse that appears on the emblem for the House Jerinsen, which rules over Gruenormark. Following the assassination of King Devonian 3, the House switched banner emblems from a regular stallion to Thurreliot.
