A grimhall, also called a slaughterhouse, is an illicit place where bandits such as the Crimson bring people to harvest their flesh for consumption. Victims are typically kept in a holding area against their will until they are brought to a separate area for butchering. Some are butchered completely, while others (such as in the case of Anya) are butchered over time. Some places will feed the captives in order to prevent atrophy, while others do not. Anya describes hearing some of the others eating rats alive in the darkness.
