| The dwarves were initially one peoples, but like the [[elves]], splintered into different groups as they expanded to explore new areas. Mostly this was caused by an invasion of humans known as the [[Ganennites]]. One main group moved east to form the kingdom of [[Maldenon]], while another migrated west to form [[Krenvia]].

| Dwarves were typically smaller and thicker in stature than their human counterparts, with coarse hair and fingernails. Unlike elves, who do not have the ability to grow facial hair, dwarfen culture demands that they grow beards.

| After turmoil took root amongst the gods, [[Drend]] and his two brothers became jealous of the [[Eldinar]] that [[Grellis]] had created, as well as the [[palanem]], which were made by the Eldinar. The brothers decided to each create a race of their own, and Drend first made the [[trolls]]. The other brother-gods made the [[krakari]], [[ogres]], and [[goblins]]. These initial attempts were considered substandard, so Drend made the [[dwarves]] from the trolls to be more stalwart than the Eldinar.
