The Akona is the main religious text of Catican. It consists of several books contained within, it:
- Book of Seeds - an account of how the ideology came about, mostly regarding the ascendance of a mysterious acolyte named Shein
- Book of Whispers - on communication
- Book of Flames - on dealing with emotion
- Book of Stones - on dealing with common obstacles
- Book of Thorns - on self-defense and aggression, both internal and external
- Book of the Moon - on death and memories (Lies)
- Book of the Sun - on knowledge and reason (Truth)
- Book of Tides - on change, habit, discipline
- Book of Spiders - on awareness, observation, and mindfulness
