After turmoil took root amongst the gods, Drend and his two brothers became jealous of the [[Eldinar]] Grellis had created, as well as the [[Palanem]], which were made by the Eldinar. The brothers decided to each create a race of their own, and Drend made the [[trolls]]. The other brother-gods made the [[krakari]], [[ogres]], and [[goblins]]. These initial attempts were considered substandard, so Drend made the [[dwarves]] to be more stalwart than the Eldinar.

Drend is the god of stone and earth and one of the original three gods created by the Creator Grellis, according to the ancient Creation Myth of the Befores. Drend is married to Iriel.

Mythology

After turmoil took root amongst the gods, Drend and his two brothers became jealous of the Eldinar Grellis had created, as well as the Palanem, which were made by the Eldinar. The brothers decided to each create a race of their own, and Drend made the trolls. The other brother-gods made the krakari, ogres, and goblins. These initial attempts were considered substandard, so Drend made the dwarves to be more stalwart than the Eldinar.
