It is illegal in every region, at least on paper, but like many other crimes - especially where there is considerable profit involved - oftentimes officials are involved or bribed to look away. For example, in ''[[Snowleaf (subchapter)|Snowleaf]]'', a young girl tells Queen [[Caliana of Sable]] how she was forced into prostitution and used on many occasions by her own law enforcement agents.

Human Carriers, Seeders, and children are the most sought-after commodities where human trafficking is concerned, but other races such as the [[Jrel]] and [[Attawa]] are also targets. Because humans hunted them to near-extinction, their rarities make them more valuable as assets to slavers.
