Each god took on the two opposing aspects it was made from, one from each creature (ebb and surge). According to the Inar, every sentient being's personality is driven by the pull of the Divines in relation to where they were born, but unlike with something like astrology, one could never know the location of each Divine as they were always moving swiftly about. So, a person who was born in close proximity to Galibrel would be more inquisitive but might also be less responsible if they were far from the location of Joridel.

They also believed one could later change their nature by affixing their concentration on a specific Divine to achieve their blessing by gaining their favor over time.
