			In the early hours, a guard abandoned post to seek out his replacement, who was discovered to be sick with Curella virus in the barracks. The entire building was quarantined and torched in accordance with the [[Kandalus Protocol]], along with everyone who had been exposed to the virus. In order to prevent any knowledge of the virus's presence from leaking, which would have been damaging to the country, a plot was contrived to level the city with artillery and kill any survivors. The destruction was then blamed on terrorists and the city was fenced off to prevent anyone from finding out the truth.
